Elopements are amazingly simple. Many people think they would be more time consuming and costly than a wedding at home but the reverse is true. They are a great way to tie the knot, just you two, here are our top three reasons why.

Incredible Photographs

Since it’s just you two (or maybe a couple of friends), it turns into a mini photo shoot of intimate moments, stunning locations and many images to choose from to hang in your home. The location for these amazing photographs here was Florence, Italy. There were so many gorgeous backdrops to choose from for a couple getting married in Italy as well as other destination wedding locations we have been a part of. Some of our top places to plan include: Italy, Greece, & Mexico. All of which we have seen some beautiful photos captured by the wedding photographers.

2. Smaller Guest Lists

A destination wedding helps pare down your guest list to just your closest loved ones. Your time and energy will go towards a more intimate ceremony, and you will have more time with each person you invite. This also helps with your wedding budget since you are not doing a normal reception in which you must feed 200 guests. Most elopements we see that have a few friends or family along for the ride are more casual and adventurous where they all go on excursions together and see what the town has to offer instead of the formalities of sit down dinners and dance floors.

3. You’re Already on Your Honeymoon

Your wedding is an all day event, and traveling takes energy. So as much as it is fun to be whisked away, wouldn’t it be nice to already be at your magical destination? Being married abroad allows you to be ready to relax and celebrate the morning after your wedding, instead of being stuck in an airport for the next 12-24 hours. Your exchange of vows is the highlight and reason for your trip but you can make this entire time abroad a trip you’ll always remember for more than one reason.
